What is Triumph Master's Commission?
Master's Commission operates as a fully autonomous
subsidiary ministry of Triumph Church of Sugar Land
(located in Sugar Land, Texas – a southwest
suburb of Houston) but is accountable to the Master's
Commission International Network. Our Master's
Commission has an emphasis on discipleship & one-on-one
mentorship, hands-on ministry training within a local
church setting, passionate prayer, and whole-hearted
commitment to Jesus Christ. We are a ministry
with a strong vision. We believe this program
is like a “green house.” TMC is an environment
where students are “protected” from outside
elements. This environment intensifies positive elements
producing a climate conducive to strong accelerated
growth. Of course, the items inside the green house
will eventually leave and go out into the “real
world,” but the statistical difference is staggering.
Plants that spend time inside a green house are seventy
to eighty times more likely to reach their full potential
than those that have not spent any time inside a green
house. Regardless of where those plants eventually
go, they will be stronger and healthier because of
their time spent inside the green house. TMC is a
green house for Christ-following WorldChangers!

of training may or may not be for everyone. That’s
okay!
We
acknowledge that many of the other ministry training
programs out there have great elements to offer students
and students, however we believe that Triumph Master's
Commission has several unique key components to offer
potential students that few other programs have. TMC
is a ministry of Triumph Church of Sugar Land, a vibrant

What does Triumph Church and Master's Commission believe
about the Bible?
Triumph Church and The Triumph Master's Commission
believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible,
and authoritative Word of God. We believe that there
is one God eternally existent in three persons: The
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity
of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life,
in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death
through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection,
and in His personal return in power and glory. We
believe in the resurrection of the saved to eternal
life, and the everlasting punishment of those who
have rejected God’s forgiveness in His Son.
We strive to achieve greater unity in all that we
do within the Body of Christ.

Are there any breaks or vacations during the year?
Are students allotted sick days?
Students are allotted five vacation days each year.
In addition to these vacation days, there are three
breaks for all students. One break at Thanksgiving
and another at Christmas. For the 2010-11 school year
Thanksgiving break will be November 24th -
November 29th and Christmas break
will be from December 22nd - January 3rd.
The third break shall take place over Easter weekend.
For the 2010-11 school year Easter break shall
be April 21st - April 25th. Sick days are
handled on a case-by-case basis. If any student is
ill or sick at any point during the year, and he/she
cannot participate in the TMC for any length of time,
those missed sick days may or may not count against
the student's allotment for vacation time. This shall
be handled on a case-by-case basis. If a student is
facing a serious medical issue, we desire that the
student see a medical professional to help determine
whether or not it is wise for that student to continue
with the program. For details or questions, please

Does everyone who applies to TMC get accepted?
Unfortunately, not every person who applies to TMC
will be accepted. We are looking for those individuals
who are ready and willing to give their all for the
entire duration of the program and desire to have
Christ change their lives forever. We are not looking
for perfect students or the best students but the
students that will best fit our program. We want to
select student who we feel can connect with vision.
We want students that we will be able to successfully
mentor. Your personality and/or your specific spiritual
needs may or may not fit with our team and our vision.
If it does, then we would love to have at TMC however
if you are not a good fit for our program, we would
rather help you find a school or studentship program
that better suits you.

What are we looking for in a potential TMC student?
The ideal TMC student is one who naturally possesses
some leadership qualities and who hungers deeply to
know Jesus intimately. We will look for students who
will benefit most from our program. An applicant may
not even be an incredibly mature Christian, but if
the applicant has an obvious hunger to know God more
and has a teachable spirit, than that applicant is
a strong candidate for TMC. Spiritual maturity is
important, however, we realize that every person is
a work in progress. Another factor to consider is
simply this: an applicant may be qualified and willing
however it simply just may not be the will of God
for you to participate in TMC this year. As we prayerfully
consider each applicant, the Holy Spirit will guide
us towards His desires.

job.

Why is there a No-Dating Covenant?
A major goal here at TMC is to have each
student give one full year to God, whole hearted and
undistracted. It is hard to give one's heart fully
to God if it belongs to another person. This seems
like one big restriction, but it turns out to be one
big relief! The student knows that everyone is there
for the one purpose, to pursue Christ. Check
out more about our covenants and guidelines now.
<<< Back to top of page
Is there ever dating in TMC?
Of Course! As much as we prohibit dating
in the first-year it is certainly encouraged that
you do so beyond your first-year... but that it is
done correctly, the right way... God's way, not the
world's way! We reject the dating model set up by
our secular self-serving society. We embrace and celebrate
the Biblical model of two people, who love God, come
together through Christ-honoring friendship and eventually
a Christ-honoring romantic courtship. Elements that
we believe are important to successful Christ-honoring
dating include accountability, strong desire for purity
from both individuals, discernment, and wisdom. Our
staff team seeks to be a partner with you as you endeavor
to find God's mate for your life.
