Statement of Faith
We
believe in one true God, Eternal in His existence,
Triune in His manifestation – Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit – and that He is sovereign
and absolute in His authority. (essential
doctrine)
We Believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments,
in its entirety to be given by inspiration of the
Holy Spirit, infallible, authoritative, without
error, as God’s revealed word to man. (essential
doctrine)
We believe in the complete deity of our Lord Jesus
Christ and in His supernatural conception and virgin
birth. We believe He lived a sinless life and died
a vicarious and atoning death. We believe in His
bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right
hand of the Father, and His future return to this
Earth in power and glory to rule and reign forever.
(essential doctrine)
We believe in communion as regular observance for
all believers to remember the sacrificial death
and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe in salvation of lost sinful man by the
regeneration of the Holy Spirit. We believe that
each man must repent and that salvation is by sovereign
grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. (essential
doctrine)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved
and the lost, the saved to everlasting life and
the lost without Christ to eternal damnation. (essential
doctrine)
We believe in water baptism by immersion soon after
accepting Christ as personal Savior and that it
is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection
to a new life.
We
believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as
evidenced in the book of Acts, is given to every
believer that asks, enabling that Christian to live
a holy, sanctified life of power.
We believe in divine healing provided through the
atoning blood of Jesus Christ as an inclusive portion
of His passion.
We believe in the present day ascension gift ministries
of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher,
and the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit
as supernatural phenomena.

Commitment
We are committed to both truth and unity in both our
doctrine and ministry approach. With the understanding
that there is a great deal of controversy over certain
doctrines, we strive to contribute to achieve greater
unity in all that we do within the Body of Christ. Both
Triumph Master's Commission and Triumph Church are committed
to taking the life-giving message of Jesus Christ to
the ends of the Earth and raising up a generation of
youth and young adults committed and devoted to Christ.
We do not require students to adhere to our specific
doctrinal perspective. However we do expect students,
to accept as truth, those beliefs that we believe are
at the core of orthodox Christianity. Those beliefs
that we believe are essential are labeled in the above
paragraph as "essential doctrine."
We
as a church believe and accept specific doctrines in
regards to the "baptism of the Holy Spirit"
and modern-day manifestations of the Holy Spirit such
as divine healing, speaking in tongues, and divine prophecy.
While we may have a "Pentecostal" view on
theology, we do not require students to adhere to "Pentecostal"
beliefs in any manner whatsoever, nor do we mandate
students participate in any form of worship with which
he/she may feel uncomfortable. We encourage students
to study the Scriptures for themselves and decide for
themselves. It is important that we adhere strictly
to the Word of God and that students study the Word of
God for themselves. If you'd like more details on a
particular doctrine, please feel free to contact
us. We look forward to answering any questions you
might have.
Denomination
Triumph Church of Sugar Land is not affiliated
with one specific denomination but is under the umbrella
of two "church networks" for the purposes
of accountability and ministry networking. Triumph Church
of Sugar Land (the platform for Triumph Master's Commission)
is a local body of believers under the covering of "Churches
in Covenant" and the "Triumph Apostolic Network".
Both are nationwide networks of churches from different
denominational backgrounds but similar doctrines.
Master's
Commission was originally birthed out of an Assemblies
of God church in Arizona therefore many of the Master's
Commission programs worldwide are based out of churches
affiliated with or similar to the Assemblies of God,
however the Master's Commission International Network
(MCIN), the governing body for Master's Commission,
is a separate non-denominational non-profit organization
that seeks to serve local Master's Commission programs
and hold such programs accountable to the core values
and original heart of Master's Commission. Today, Master's
Commission programs are based in churches from many
different denominational backgrounds.
